Great Taste Award 2011 for our Feta |

Arvanitis SA from Neochorouda, Greece, is celebrating after winning the prestigious 2011 Great Taste Award.
Arvanitis SA is the only Greek cheese producer that has been presented with a coveted Gold Great Taste Award for its Feta P.D.O and Fresh cheese Tsantila from sheep milk.

One more great success was added on the cheeses we do produce in
Arvanitis Dairy. In 23rd of October in Piraeus took place the 3rd
biannual Greek Milk and Cheese Festival, where our company faithfully to
the tradition and the quality of its cheeses took place successfully on
the 3rd Greek Cheese Contest. We did distinguish with 8 awards, more
than any other dairy.

Visit to the Arvanitis Dairies HQs by the Chefs club of Northern Greece “Olympian Zeus” |
During their visit to the Arvanitis Dairies HQs in Thessaloniki,
Mr. Karafoulidis Fotis / President, Mr. Poulidis Peter, Secretary General,
and Palisidis George / Scientific Advisor of “Olympian Zeus” Northern
Greece Chefs Club had an official meeting with Mr. Arvanitis
Michael / General Manager, Mr. Mpolkas Kriton / Sales Manager and Kastanopoulos
Akis /Export Manager.
At “Flavor
& Taste” the first National Contest for Feta cheese organized by the Chefs
Club at the International Food & Drink Show DETROP 2011 in March, Arvanitis
Dairies received an award and a distinction for their Feta in tin and Feta in
barrel. The awards were based on 12 taste criteria set by the contest
committee, following a blind testing by exceptional chefs, restaurateurs and
hoteliers of Feta cheese from many producers.

In the traditional dairy of Arvaniti we create the conditions to revive the old recipes
of the cheese history of Makedonia that was kept traditionally in the narrations of
grandmothers.
We use chosen full fat fresh milk from the grassland of Makedonia in
order to give life to the excellent cheeses with the authentic Greek taste, such as the
Tsantilas Fresh Cheese.
Like the old days in the village, the Tsantilas Fresh Cheese is produced according to the old
fashioned way.
Full taste with smooth texture, it is made of carefully selected sheep’s and
goat’s milk and it is strained in the Tsantila (the cloth). That’s how we get the unique
taste and you can have a piece of healthy, pure and rich cheese as it comes from the Greek cheese tradition!
